The definition of setting smart goals means: 1) We write down our goals, which makes us really focus, think and plan, 2) Goals give us things to shoot for, and 3) Goal setting, motivation and action go hand in hand.
If you don't currently have written goals, you're in "Good Company", because only about 3% of us write down our goals on our own, and those 3% own most of the wealth! Coincidence? I don't think so.
The Good News: About 30% of us WOULD write down our goals, if encouraged by someone who gives tips on smart goals setting! That's another reason why it's often a good idea to find a business coach.
Is it then any wonder why most people aren't more focused than they are? And why we often get "stuck", to some degree, not quite sure what to do when new challenges and opportunities come our way? Setting smart goals doesn't have to take much time, is a great first step, and well worth doing if you want to achieve more and become more content. Knowing your goals is critical, but there's more to the process. That's where someone "looking in" can help so much, and another reason why people who decide to find a business coach (and other people to help), are much more likely to get ahead.
Smart goal setting and business forecasting go hand in hand. Using Prophix business forecasting software can help you lead your business to success as well.
Do you have written goals: Are you willing to think through and write down your goals on your own? If not, you might benefit from considering looking for and finding a business coach.
Do you have problems staying focused quite often? If so, there are steps to take that can help.
Are you interested in improving your work situation - whether it's your business or career?
Are you willing and able to be open to ideas from an "outsider"?
Note: If you answered YES to most or all of the questions above, you are probably a good prospect.
Are you Coachable? To find out even more, take this 2-minute quiz called: "Am I Coachable?"; you'll see your results immediately!
